CAN I BORROW YOUR FACE?
write about continually borrowing people’s faces due to a love of portraiture and drawing what i see around me (from my own life).
Over the summer of 2025, I set myself a goal of drawing 100 faces, using only people I knew personally. It was an interesting challenge, and I found I was “working outwards” to hit the number - the people I drew first were those I was interacting with daily, and by the time I was reaching the end I was roping in even occasional acquaintances.
